Regret - Poem by Wyndon Villafuerte

All those chances that I missed
All those times I could've kissed
I wish I had the courage to
Tell you that I loved you to
If I could turn back the hands of time
I'd try again to make you mine
I was so foolish and naive
All those times I couldn't achieve
The goal that I set out to do
I wanted to express to you
But being close to you I stutter
Those three words I couldn't utter
I feel guilty each passing day
For letting this love slip away
Those past nights I've dreamed about
What my life would be without
You love to keep me safe and warm
From the cold and unforgiving storm
In this lifetime I cannot fathom
In the darkness being lonesome
To go through life like a zombie
Knowing that it'll never be
I know that I am stronger now
I know that someday and somehow
That one day... one day
I will find that special girl
To whom I'll let my love unfurl
