Regrets Poem by Bhuvnesh Rohilla

Regrets

Bonds long forgotten,
Way beyond rotten..
He longs to see their smile,
He was stupid and juvenile
He did not seem to care,
Why did he dare?
To hurt the ones he loved,
Painfully the ones he shoved,
Never to look back,
Put his feelings in a sack,
He threw them in the river,
Only now does he shiver,
For it became too cold,
He has stories to be told,
But none to hear,
For he did not fear,
But now he regrets,
The people who neglect,
His cries of pain,
Nothing to gain,
Nothing to lose,
He puts on his shoes,
Only to walk again,
He drags along the chain,
The one he built,
Lock by lock,
It's all his guilt.
His feet start to bleed,
He planted all the seeds,
Only to grow thorns,
The world scorns.
He is all alone.

For it became too cold,
And now he is old.
He starts to wither,
It's his time to shiver.
