Rehab Impatiency Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Rehab Impatiency

I wish to walk before I am stable,
Please GOD ~ help me to slow down,
My mind dost tell me that I am able,
But if I fell I would break my crown.

Why cannot I patient be,
Why must I wish to hurry,
I must slow down daily,
And cause everyone less worry.

I wish to get on with my Life,
Two steps ahead I plan,
My Present is not what I want,
Why cannot I understand.

At present I am classed as ‘High Dependency’
And I must stay that way,
Until assessments have been done,
Which hopefully will be any day.

If a ‘Total Care Package’ I am to get,
I must slow down my Rehab,
Until assessments have been done,
I fully understand that.
