Relative Clouds Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Relative Clouds

The relative clouds
Rise and pass
Kilometer after kilometer
Towns, cities, buildings,
Country and fields,
Trees, country walls and
Country roads

A lizard passed over the
Wall
Looking anxious at the
Fast traveling clouds.

For
She calculates
That if they frown
There's deluge of waters
Falling
On her and has
To hide
If at night
From between the
Stones
Look
At
The kindly moon
And spears of the
Burning stars.
