Remember - Poem by Jim Boone

That God made men and women equal
When you read or witness history
Of the slave trade; remember we
Are equal in God's Eyes and Heart.

When you hear of, or study, each
And every war when men killed
Men because they were told to,
Remember we are equal in God's
Eyes and heart now, and forever more.

When you hear of class/sex discrimination
In the cinema, the theater or today's news,
Remember that God made all men and
Women equal in His sight and disposition.

When the government that originated
‘Of the people, by the people and for
The people' falls short, in modern
Translations, remember or know
That God, our Creator, made all of
Us E Q U A L and left the understanding
Up to us to learn about and witness to.

When we, the people, treat our brothers
And sisters differences as unacceptable or
Less than, or below ours, know this,
Foolish, undeserving humans: God,
Our heavenly Father, made men and
Women equal: 1. As great as; the same as
2. like or alike in quantity, degree, value
Or 3. Of the same rank, ability, merit;
Students of equal brilliance. Learn,
For it is so and then remember.
