We lived in a wonderland
Where time froze like Never-land
And with you as my best friend
To time there would be no end

Then one day in mid-August
you made us both promise
to always remember
our time spent together

Then when death did us part
you left the ghost of your heart
so you would not fade away
and our love would not decay

Your skin turned to cinder
but your shadows will linger
in the dream that we lived in before.
