Remembering - Poem by laurajayne Kennedy

u left so quickly
your face is fading
im afraid ill forget you
my memory of you is erasing.

i try to remember
what you were like
i try to concentrate
to keep the light.

every day you get more cloudy
the face i remember is fading slowly.
i promised i would nver forget
i want to remember you
with no regrets.

i thought i would remeber you forever
that i would never forget.
if moving on means forgetting
then i dont want it happening.
