Reminisce Poem by Jennifer Speers

Reminisce

remembering the times that past
we played in the barley field
we built our houses out of hay
felt the grass beneath our feet
we played outside til darkness fell
they called us in for tea
into the bath to get us scrubbed
and come out fresh and clean
a kiss goodnight a story told
tucked up safely in our beds
we would all fall fast asleep
