Renee Poem by james stillwell

Renee

Pretty, pretty, pretty girl
Raven black hair and just the right curl.
Smile so shy and yet so bright
When she smiles my heart takes flight.
Eyes deep in thought and oh so brown
You looked and in love my soul was drown.
Fair of limb and fair of skin
I wondered if you would let my love come in?
With a soft and musical word
She'd make my heart flutter like wings on a bird.
She has a heart by God made pure,
I pray all her life He'llkeep her secure.
I wondered why God would place her in my life,
And if He would bless me by making her my wife?
He blessed me and let me her life share
He gave me jobs so for her I could care.
Four children for me she did bear
Then raised all with loving care.
Now her hair is silver with just the right curl,
And she is still my pretty, pretty, pretty girl.
For God has blessed me,
By letting me love thee.
