Renewal Poem by David Taylor

Renewal

Rating: 3.8

Shall I say to you be still
And become as a mountain
With massive presence in hidden depths
So quiet that ears may hear
Echoes of distant past events
Bringing to an end
All action born of discontent
Settle unmoving into a deep abyss
Where creative principle ferments
The primeval waters of love and reason
Feeding warm springs of life renewed
Under the gaze of awestruck stars
That sparkle in your mind’s eyes.

To me this is a poet's poem to other poets. I don't know why I feel that way, but you speak of universal themes and construct your rhyme and rhythm for the eyes and ears of the artist's artist. It is that unique!
