Rent Poem by Brandon Nothing

Rent

Have you ever felt like you
were part of something, something insane
I can tell you that is me, all the time
Between high groves and sea shells
Lies the pit I call home
i the vermin, rome your heaven
for the bitterest of ambrosia
For on this day there is no daily bread
Tommorrow our age will settle in
For now: I long for tommorrow
I yearn for a reason to live today
The feeling bares reflection
Temporary prodigial, temporary prodigal
Trespass me not
For this day there is no daily bread
Tommorrow our age will settle in
For now, living for tommorrow
I yearn for a reason to live today
The tides can change all they want
Dogs will bark and they shall never stop
And I yearn for a reason
Oh, just a reason
To become a prodigial season
