Republicans Poem by Long Tooth

Republicans

Rating: 5.0

Republicans, I'd rather die, than live the life you've chosen,
Like vampires, friends you suck earth dry, your hearts alas seem frozen,
Enraged you lust for victory, thank Gingrich and his ilk!
You'd legislate morality and now attack the silk
Of 'Government, ' of 'Brotherhood, ' and 'Freedom' you disguise,
The chains your forge protect Earth's scum, 'Advantage' worth your lies!

Though gain you might friend, you aren't 'Right, ' addicted so to sinning!
Can Grace be yours? Your God drinks 'Coors, ' His truth is only 'Spinning! '
Will all your "Bud's" drink 'Koolaid' too, Earth's nations laugh at you,
Those bars that make you feel more safe: You're dinosaurs in Zoo!
Might comet strike be Man's last date; Apocalyptic Fire our Fate?
To children and to 'Beauty' too, you're 'Beasts' who just intimidate!

Don't get me wrong! Republicans are not the only sinners,
Compared to what God's truth must be: Man's Truth? We're just beginners!
If balance ever is restored, the zero-sum game spurned,
And faith in 'Brotherhood of Man' a purpose that's returned,
Humility is where it starts, the reach across the aisle,
The Devil's in the details, but God's will is in a smile!
