Requiem For Childhood Poem by Camilla Manda Vee

Requiem For Childhood

Rating: 5.0

i wish i were in
a lighthouse
tall and lean
swaying over
St. Augustine

i wish for the familiar
the childhood obscene
monkey bars
swimming pools
and little bees that taught me to fear

i wish for when
stocks
bonds
bridges
and favours
never mattered at all
