Requiem For The Fallen Poem by Gerry Legister

Requiem For The Fallen

The sound of silence
Rides through the wind
On the bridge of remembrance
To where the heroes had fallen

All across the distance
The new moon is painless
Shadows in the ambiance
Rides the apocalypse

Requiem for the fallen
Honors the memory of soldiers
But death is life living
On by the mourners

The past humanity lamenting,
The future of our foreboding
