Resolution Poem by Andy Barrette

Resolution

I always find it hard to start a poem
but, you see,
merely writing out my thoughts
seems too easy to me.
And so I'm filling the first page
of a great big scrap book
that I luckily found in a dumpster
and rightfully took.

Now I have an opportunity
that I must take:
I shall strive to write a poem
every single day.
While, at this point, it's clear to me
that this will be quite hard,
I'm quite resolved in my belief
that this is the best part.
