Rest In Peace - Poem by Cynthia Thomas

Just a puff of wind
Ever spinning wheel
Slurpee beer pint
Umbilicus from the Eternal Seal
Sorry, its behind the screen

Lull of thy mother
Oath of thy soul
Vexing ideals-bother!
Eery echoes of the ghoul
Seem full enough to frown

You may, but, rest in peace
Over the placid palm of Christ
Understand, life is for lease!

Dainty as a glass goblet
Echoing voices of thy ancestors
An array of Light forgives you eaglet!
Rest in peace-for Life does wake, with the cry of the Rooster.

Poet's Notes about The Poem

This is an acrostic - notice the first letter in every line. The theme of this poem is very much the same as what they read, though it is revealed only in the last two lines. :)
