Rest In Peace Poem by Cynthia Thomas

Rest In Peace

Just a puff of wind
Ever spinning wheel
Slurpee beer pint
Umbilicus from the Eternal Seal
Sorry, its behind the screen

Lull of thy mother
Oath of thy soul
Vexing ideals-bother!
Eery echoes of the ghoul
Seem full enough to frown

You may, but, rest in peace
Over the placid palm of Christ
Understand, life is for lease!

Dainty as a glass goblet
Echoing voices of thy ancestors
An array of Light forgives you eaglet!
Rest in peace-for Life does wake, with the cry of the Rooster.
