Rest In Peace Grandad Poem by Mekenzie Blake

Rest In Peace Grandad

Grandad as i sat and held your hand, My face was wet with tears, I closed my eyes and prayed, An angel whispered clear, I must take him to a better place for god has called his name, But we will miss your dearly, nothing will be the same.
I will carry you in my heart, And think of you each day, And remember what you taught me, should i go astray.
If i could hear you now, i know what you would say, chin up my boy don't be sad everything's ok. No more suffering and no more pain, So celebrate my life. im safe in heaven at long last reunited with my child and wife.
