Restless Cannot Contain The Spring Poem by James Barrs

Restless Cannot Contain The Spring

Restless cannot contain the spring
compressed, caged, wanton. twitching
limbs, windy breath, unattainable. Imprisoned
in nervous thoughts, fears, skin. fight for admiration,
remuneration, lust. Against rust agents, shackles,
chains, rage.
Restless cannot contain the spring. Neither can I!
