Returning The Favor Poem by Moth Harris

Returning The Favor

Rating: 1.0

A burning building, tumbling to the ground
a yearning fulfilling, crumbling what I've found
the words I'm spilling, mumbling to the sound
the weather so chilling, stumbling all around
You're just unwilling, humbley in the crowd

and it's just like that, lose the beat, fall off track
I was easy enough to throw away, say, did it come back today?
Did I show you how I felt, knelt there on one knee.
The question I ended up asking, 'why always me? '

A burning building, fallen to the ground
the urge killing, pollen all around
where your rose buds used to lay
I stare frozen blood, a price to pay
I returned the favor today.
