With pain in every fibre of my being,
I say goodbye to you with a heavy heart.
Yet beyond all this heaviness lies hope -
hope that transcends into a knowing -
a knowing that one day we will meet again.

But until then, with patience I must endure
a wait that will certainly be difficult to bear.
one that may at times even seem like forever to come.

But when that day finally arrives,
here will be no more goodbyes,
for, in eternity will be our final reunion.
