Revelations Poem by Rachel Hughes

Revelations

When the last petal falls from the rose.

And the mountains fall from their eternal pose.

And the last leaf falls from the tree.

And there's no life to stir the seas.

And the spirit of life withdraws his breath.

And this world is covered in death.

And the sun and moon, no longer last.

Cause revelations have come to pass.

And the stars fall from the velvet sky.

And you want to know why.

Because mankind no longer cared.

That because their sin. Earth and life would soon despair.

They turned their back on god and man

. An ignorant act, I don't understand.

So god sent his only son. To earth and them.

So that all could be saved through him.

And those who take his nail scarred hands.

Will dwell in a promise land.

A place where we will never die.

A place where love is always nigh.

And the things that once will pass.

Will be made again built to last.
