Rhoda My Sunshine (A Day To Remember) Poem by Bartholomew Arkoh Boamah Sarbah

Rhoda My Sunshine (A Day To Remember)

A thousand wishes rushed her path o'er her soul
With gorgeous promises from the dark future;
From the north and from the south,
From the east and from the west
And across the horizon
with a undaunted sense of perpetual performance

They were the unfeigned prayers of her gotten comrades
That shall eventually unite
To lead her into a joyous future
As the flower bearer lead her Mistress
To be kissed by the lips of her beloved

She wore upon her
The brightness of a new born
But inside her tender heart
Was the emotions of a love bird
Being prepared for the alter
To be cherished by the one who only she finds worthy

A red Rose she is
With fragrance that makes her beauty complete
And sweetness
that enslaves the attention of her male pals
Until confession breaks loose
Like the falls from the Boti

Nonetheless, she is one of us;
Our own comrade;
A Mechanical engineer
She Is our Rep;
And she is a woman
Behold, a virtuous woman
