Right Now But One Day Poem by Kimberly Santistevan

Right Now But One Day

Rating: 1.0

Right now,
We are unable to cope with this tragic situation.
Right now,
We sit here crying in each other’s arms in disbelief
That you are gone before you even came into this world.
Right now,
You’re heart had stopped beating on this mother earth.
Right now,
We don’t know if we could ever heal this pain of not getting to know you.
Right now,
We will always think what kind of baby girl and what a great person you could’ve been.
Right now,
We didn’t get to see your beautiful eyes
We are wondering what color they would be.
Right now,
We can’t look into your sparkling eyes and smile while we hold you.
Right now,
We are thinking of what your smile could have been like.
Right now,
We are looking at what could have been your own clothes.
Right now,
We will continue to stand in front of your crib
Trying to imagine you lying there.
Right now,
We know you are in Heaven
Safe and sound,
Playing in those fluffy clouds.
Right now,
We are hurting because we have lost you, our angel of our lives.
Right now,
We are slowly trying to smile
And face the fact that you are in a better place.
We will do everything once we are together again,
One day.
