左岸右岸
Right shore left shore

从猎坊街道出去
Out from Huntsmill Blvd
你不能向前
You cannot move forward
你只能
You can only
或者向左或者向右
Either turn left or turn right
左右都不是错
Left or right are all alright

就像河流的左右两岸
Just like shoreside on a river, left or right
河水照样流淌
Water flows as usual
并不在意其流淌的方向
Don't care the direction of flows
也不在意
Nor care
水面之上天空之下
Those on the water under the sky

岁月就是这样流淌
Time flows like so
从来也不会停下来
Never has it stopped
不管什么原因
No matter what the cause is
就这样流淌
Like so, flows
甚至像城市阴沟
Even as the ditches of the city
流淌
Flows

人们不喜欢这种比喻
People doesn't like this analogy
莎士比亚不这么说
Shakespeare never said that
李白杜甫也不这么说
Neither said so Li Bai & Du Fu
我就这么说
I talk like that
因为很多人都是这么说
Because many people talk like that

而猎坊街道不说话
But Huntsmill Blvd doesn't talk
安安静静地
So quietly
一条弯路
One winding road
一条通向我家小区的路
One road leading toward my neighborhood
两边照例有间隔一致的树木
Roadside trees planted as usual every same distance

我说的是当我向北行驶的时候
What I meant is when I drive northward
我感觉我在河流里漂流
I felt I am floating on the river
冬天的雪和肃杀寒冷
Snow in winter and the killing cold
使我想起冰封的河面
Reminds me the frozen river water
我们小心行驶
We drive carefully
生怕陷入深渊
Fear to sunken into hell
