Right Where You Left Me Poem by Ellen Rose Guilaran

Right Where You Left Me

Waiting
Still waiting
Staring at the window pane
An automotive going the fast lane

Roaring engines past the car
Heart singing blues at the scars
With raindrops falling outside the car
And I'm right where you left me

The journey home took so long
That coldness has embraced me
Engulfed in everlasting sadness
And I'm right where you left me

Questions, questions
Everybody got questions and mine's unanswered
Would it bother you if I ask why
I'm right where you left me?

Waiting
Still waiting
Like a bus ride home that might never come
Still waiting
Yet,
I'm right where you left me
