Rise Poem by Miu Miu Ayushi

Rise

Stirring slowly, the sun coming around
Creating woman from the dust off the ground
A creature newly reborn
Whole, no longer torn

The rise of a phoenix slowly awaken
Naked, standing before you my breath deepen
Awake from this dark, somber sleep
Rising from the ashes without a weep
This breath of life burning inside of me
A will to live, a need to survive and be
To feel my senses and be human again
An open heart is all for me to gain
Trying to fill the hunger that lingers from within me
A wild creature, I turn around to see
The battle ahead of me that I need to review
A path, mocking me to cross through
Fighting another war as I have fought several already
The enduring beast within me will win as I have won many
To satisfy the craving of life from within me
I survive; I rejoice and set the demon free
I remember my birth place and where I came from
Setting myself free and embracing my gift of freedom

Stirring slowly, the sun coming around
Creating a woman from the dust off the ground
A creature newly reborn
Whole, no longer torn
