Rising Love Poem by Sneha Murali

Rising Love

Bound to earth, bound to you
paper-cut wound from pages of love.
I grew to choose not what I believe
such is an ideology that I wished to conceive.
Drowning seas, I hear your cries,
with salt water love glitzing in those eyes.
And in your soft hold and hard heart beats,
I lay myself to sleep, I lay myself for you.
Passing winds stir me up,
waking me to your Greek form.
and I'm torn between losing sleep and losing you.
With every breath you take, I go inside you,
and every sigh you heave is spoken for.

Is it too hard to wash your heart,
and cleanse it slowly part by part.
To crawl right in and take the shape,
of your infinite warmth and tight embrace.
Flower petal fingers, hold on to you,
grasping your hand with butterfly strength.
Fingers close and lock within yours,
to create a bond born out of love.
Voiceless whispers through the night,
and lonesome longings I try and fight.
So effortlessly my dreams surround you,
and then all that's left is us two.
Goosebumps travel skin to skin,
while running my hands through your mane.
And eyes that make ice melt to waste,
can't help going totally insane.
