River Rushing Poem by Rick De La Pena

River Rushing

Rating: 4.8

As far back as I can see
I drank from the cup of wine
I Ate of the apple
Lived life so divine.
Now dark shadows follow me.
Older …. Wiser
Water now rushing like a geyser.
I'm no longer Free
Old River rushing to the sea.
New tide rolls in to engulf me.
Hearing life's song
Rolling out till I'm gone
For forever
