Ruffles And Ridges Poem by Rick De La Pena

Ruffles And Ridges

Rating: 4.5

Ruffles from her girlish days,
have given way to womanly ways.
Life's stuff is sometimes tough
ridges on her ruffled cuff.
With her eyes ablaze
determined, she's never in a haze.
Sometimes she thinks of the good ol' days.
Hand on hip
never losing grip
a cut on her fingertip.
Charm and grace
hair in place
eyebrows en-lace a pretty face.
Lips perched, she will assert.
Ruffles and Ridges
on the cuff of her shirt!
