Road Of Fortune Poem by Rik Bertrand

Road Of Fortune

ROAD OF FORTUNE

I travel through life looking for my calling,
Sometimes I stumble and sometimes I’m falling.
life has a surely way of breaking you down,
It finds a way to pound you round and round.

I have taken a break on Fortunes way,
I have sit down and set up and I am marking my day. I am crafty and willing and I ponder my thoughts, I have planted my seeds, so that I can harvest my crops.

It all sounds so simple when you look at it this way, A break in life, so that I can have a new day.
Life has it misery, and life has its Glory, And I will have all I need at the end of my story.

The road to fortune is a road in my mind
It’s not any road that any other could find.
My life plan lies on this windy rough road And my willpower will assist me in hauling the load.

Fortunes Way, is but my path to my calling,
Some days I am walking and others I am crawling
My Road is long and winding, I have just begun
The Road is my life, the end is my Fortune.
