Roads Are Open Before Me/But I No Longer Have The Strength Poem by Shalom Freedman

Roads Are Open Before Me/But I No Longer Have The Strength

I come to the end of one road
I look to the left and to the right
Roads are open before me
But I no longer have the strength
There are many roads now
Opening in all directions
But I will not go down them again
I look at the open roads with longing
There is so much beauty and adventure in the distance
Life and more life
I look down the roads
I don't have the strength
They go on and on without me
And will go on and on and on without me
I just don't have the strength to go down them anymore.
