Roam Poem by Michael Carlson

Roam

Why must we stay
Stay in this one place all day
Why can't we be free
Free to go and see
All the trees and the seas
Free to dream
Free to eat whipped cream
When ever we so please
And never again be teased
For how we look and talk
For the way we walk
Or for how easily we are pleased!
Why must we wait until we're grown
To finally how the right roam
Instead of stuck at home.
