Robotica Poem by Kay Moore

Robotica

ROBOTICA
by Kate Moore30-MAY-2018

Robots will surround us, in years to come,
And they will do, what we've already done.
Every country will have their share,
Improving our lifestyle with infinite care.
What will power them, you may ask,
Something amazing will drive the task.
Integration and computerisation,
Will change ourlife's course,
Artificial intelligence will be the force.
Voice recognition, and automation,
Will be common place, in every home station.
Long gone will the days of manual labour,
Be a thing of the past,we no longer favour.
We are living now in a technical revolution,
Slowly, slowly, creatingevery solution.
If they monitor our health, wealth and wellbeing,
Will there be any use, for a real human being.
Operations performed, with intricate precision,
Synthesising meat, would be a decision.
Reconstituting products, with laboratory precision.

Barbequed bugs, may be more the go,
Or enhanced, creepy crawlies, so the cost is low.
Insects are nutritious, containing protein and fat,
Guess who will collect them from where they are at.
Mealworms are as good as beef and pork,
But they may cause a problem to stay on your fork.
Vehicles will be autonomous and traffic lights gone,
Will " they" create, music, dance and song.
Radar and cruise control, will be the way of the day,
Autonomous cars are coming, to stay.
Our world will be filled with integrated drones,
To pick you up, or take you home.
A robotic pooch, for companionship, and company,
For those withoutpartners, friends, mates or family.
Will there be employment for one and all,
For our minds to develop, live in peace, no wars.
In thirty years time, these words, a joke may be,
But we may not be here, even to see.
We just don't know, when this phrase may be said,
These were the good old days,
By our own thoughts, we were led, .

Is our future progressing, by the way we now go,
Over-run by robots who run the show.
What will be left for humans to do,
It scares me to death, I can tell you true.
