Rod Blagojevich V. Megan's Law - Poem by Luke Easter

Rod Blagojevich,14 & ½ years in the state of Illinois,
But if you molest kids young enough to play with toys?
The same state that has refused to pass, “Megan’s Law, ”
Mandatory 10 years registration after release, that is all.

Governor gets mucho time because money was misused,
But making know the whereabouts of one who abused?
Wow! No wonder the word, “Justice” is misunderstood,
Whereas, bad means bad at times it can also mean good.

It’s good that the ex-office holder reward is doing time,
Against mandatory registration for child sexual crimes?
It is obvious that criminals in Illinois are still in charge,
To track pedophile predators should it really be so hard?

I don’t know about you but I find it very hard to believe,
Alarm! So, an 85 year-old grandma strip search received,
Explained her hip replacement to airport security the TSA,
Sorry Nana, you will have to remove your clothes anyway.

With two major services one being community notification,
Current address as offenders can’t be found by imagination.
Senate seat selling Rod got a maximum after copping a plea,
While child molester’s can get a reduction from nine to three?

Now, exactly why have six states flat out refused to recognize,
The serious of not passing Megan’s law & failing to apologize,
Pedaling Obama’s spot for cold hard cash is a victimless crime,
At least compared to abused children who will serve a lifetime.
