We met quite by chance one wet afternoon
It had started to rain heavily
I offered you shelter beneath my umbrella
You accepted it quite readily
Then we both started talking, continued our walking
Went to a cafe for a hot cup of tea
You asked for one sugar...some milk and a stirrer
Just the same as I wanted for me
We laughed and we joked at the weather outside
We had only been caught in a shower
I looked into your eyes and remember your smile
I was hooked by your magical power
The sun had come out as we left to go home
Got your number as you left for your train
I'll never forget the day that we met
We found love and romance in the rain
