Romantic Delusion Poem by Ethan Lawnd

Romantic Delusion

Rating: 4.0

The haze of a midnight ride
Ideas of the past, present, future
Countless unknowns held inside
Under the crescendoing torture

Connections between one and another
Muted by a veil of stimulus
Lost with a fellow brother
Outside it would look frivolous

Reckless with negligence
Eyes half open
Equipped with intelligence
Life painted golden

Knees tremble with the thought
Where the dreams live
Farther then originally sought
No one will forgive

Against reality
Striving for that light
Dissipating morality
One vision irreversible,
forever in sight
