Romantic Glue Poem by chuka egbo

Romantic Glue

Rating: 2.5

Many vile to gain you smile
Many crook for you all this while
Drown in vanity like in river Nile
Dis-easing self for your pleasing
Sowing wild oat without reasoning
Never knew you have sharp blade
An instrument for downgrade
Like Delilah to shave my potency
And my affinity with omnipotence
You offered me your lap to sleep
And to fiddle on my destiny
That I may wake weak and weep
Your riddle ‘death with philistine'
Now, have let go your clip
And your rot that dims light
The romantic glue of your grip
An extinguisher of future so bright
Good bye world - my ex girl friend -
I stay no longer with you
