Roots Poem by nithya john

Roots

The little child with toys
The student with his books
The young man with his ipod
The lady with her vanity bag
The man with his worries
The woman with her tears
The grandpa with his stick
The grandma with her stories
The beggar with his begging bowl
The fishmonger with his loot from the sea
The priest with his Bible
The lawyer with his law books
The policeman with his stern face
The teacher with her chalk-piece
The musician with his lyre
The doctor with his reports
The journalist with the news
The cobbler with the shoe
The photographer with his camera
The politician with his promises
The writer with his pen
Well…
Aren’t the roots immersed in the dust?
From the earth and back to the earth!

Poet with her poem... Isn't the mind immersed in emotions? From the thoughts and back to the thoughts!
