Roses Poem by Justin Kulwicki

Roses

Some say roses are red
And violets are blue,
I used to agree,
But now they’re all different hues.

This one is pink
And this one’s orange, it’s true.
This one is green
And it reminds me of you.

Nothing’s the color it should be,
But it’s all good
Cause it’s still beautiful
And it reminds me of you.

So forget the “should’s”
And forget the “ought’s”
Nothing’s the same,
And it’s all your fault.

Let the roses be violets
For all I care
As long as when I turn around
You’ll be standing there.
