Rosie Poem by keith brown

Rosie

Rosie, oh! Rosie why won't you talk to me?
We've been in isolation
Today is number 3
7 days in isolation is going to fry my brain
Cause I'm talking to a teddy and she thinks I've gone insane.

Rosie oh Rosie why do you look so blank?
We're here in isolation and it's covid we must thank
I don't believe you've even heard a single word I said
You just sit there silly grinning on your bed of scarlet red

Rosie oh Rosie don't talk to me no more!
We've been in isolation today is number 4
7 days in isolation is gonna take its toll
Cause I'm talking to a teddy and I'm 78 years old

Rosie, oh! Rosie with your silly little grin
6 days in isolation together we have b'n
When I talk to you your beady eyes just stare straight ahead
I don't believe you even heard a single word I said

Rosie, oh! Rosie day 7 we must part
An end of isolation but your still here in my heart.
And if by chance I happen to pass this way again
I know that you'll be waiting with your silly little grin

Rosie, oh! Rosie to late to you talk to me
An end to isolation today is what I see
7 days in isolation has gone and fried my brain
Cause I'm talking to a teddy and I think I've gone insane

What's that you said rose?

I didn't quite catch that
No no you can't come with me, it's glen 20 for you
