Royal Or Not Royal Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

Royal Or Not Royal

The scales of justice, tall and blind,
Don't see a title, leave behind
The crown, the scepter, all the show.
Just facts are weighed, for high and low.

A name is read, a common sound,
Like others judged on common ground.
'The law, ' the words ring clear and bold,
'Its path must run, as it is told.'

No brother's plea, no family's name,
Can shift the balance of the game.
The Royal House, in silent watch,
Sees justice done, beyond reproach.

The course is set, the process starts,
For equal measure fills all hearts.
The law is blind, the law is fair,
A truth for all, beyond compare.
