Rules Of Friendship Poem by Nnawihe Ephraim

Rules Of Friendship

can i just be your friend?
With my broken heart that needs amend
Can i just walk with you
When my sky is dark and yours is blue?

I have so many problems
To stain your emblem
Can i look for love
From whom i call belove?
The world is full of pains
Many are struggling to make gains

Every man is busy looking for a way out
Every mind wanting to sometimes shout
You must bear your cross alone
For not only you know how to groan

If you must be my friend
Learn your broken heart to amend
If you must walk with me
Don't see me as one that cant get the sting of a bee
And when the world ask if life has been kind
Always learn to say..i am fine

It take an extra ordinary me
To set your angel free
When mine is in a cage!
For sometimes i too rage!
