Rumors are one of the Devil's favorite tools
Listened to, and believed only by fools,
They are one of the Devil's favorite devices
Which he uses to cause crisis.
He enjoys it when rumors are spoken or said
And he is tickled when they are spread,
And when anyone ever believes in any of them
He rejoices in it like a Christian rejoices in a Sunday hymn.
The Devil loves a broken soul and heart
And he loves it when people are torn apart,
We know that the Devil always wears a disguise
And we know that he is also the king of lies.
When the Devil is behind a message or a post
A rumor to which he will happily toast,
Then he knows others will unknowingly believe in it
That is for his very own benefit.
When others ever spread those lies or rumors about
The Devil will truly search those gossipers out,
Unto him they all gleam
And he wants everyone of them on his team.
The Devil loves the rumor gossiper
He is their advocate and their favorite listener,
And when a rumor brings forth judgement and hate and guile
The Devil then does smile.
When a rumor is spoken as facts or as truthful deeds
The Devil had proudly planted those seeds,
He loves it when rumors causes jealousy and fear
And it all started by the Devil's whisper in a gullible person's ear.
