Run, Prayer, Run Poem by Watchman Okoro

Run, Prayer, Run

Rating: 3.0

Prayer prayer rent the heavens,
Rent the skies
To reach his presence.
Reach his throne
And cast my tear
Before God almighty clean and clear.

Prayer prayer race like stars
Race through time,
And race through clouds.
Bring my words in painful sobs
To the one who made these teary drops.

Prayer prayer faster still,
Race on higher with fiery zeal
Till your feet are bled and weary
Else my mortal fate be sealed
Else my demons eat their fill
Else my gentle soul be killed

Prayer prayer quell the sun
Dim the moon
And kill the stars
Until the heavens are forced to notice
My silent tear, clean and clear.
My tired words in painful sobs
Your broken feet bled and weary.
