Run, Run Away Poem by Amber Jones

I'll give you my life -
anything to escape home,
where the monsters lurk,
but I can't escape this hell
because this hell is near you,

and I can't leave you
amongst fear, all on your own,
because I need you,
and I know you need me too.
So, because of that, I'll stay,

but, one day, we'll run
together, all on our own...
run so far away
so that we can be together
and be free from the monsters.

I'll give everything
to be with you forever,
because I love you,
though our time has not yet come,
but, when it does, we'll be free.
