dear iip, I’ve been kept off of PH for a while. sorry for the delay. due to a late start in adding poems to the November showcase, I’ll put this poem in as it appears on your PH page. in order to portray PH poets more accurately, and BECAUSE my time is limited, I’ll not worry much about grammatical or spelling errors/differences, e.g. your (sometimes) mixing up “their”, “there”, and “they’re”. ****[this shall appear in the SECTION B of November's showcase] basically I feel this is understandable and, though it may raise some eyebrows for its content and your views, it is worth an airing to more readers. I do not condone child (or adult) sexual abuse by either children or by adults. I do believe some accusations are false while others are true. it does seem a bit odd that one birthday makes such a big difference between someone being charged with statutory rape or child abuse, OR not being charged. but in order to have some control by society over individuals' behavior, boundaries are set. that said, I believe that, in some cultures, what might be considered child abuse (by most) in the U.S. would not be considered child abuse, OR it is more routine and accepted. I wonder if other readers, especially from other countries, care to comment. hmm? As for the treatment of gays [women or men], I believe in the same rights for LGBT people as I believe in for ‘others’. no more, no less. all people ideally would treat others with kindness or at least not the reverse! bri :)
