Russian Roulette Poem by Nicky Turner

Russian Roulette

Spoken softly
A whisper in my ear
She has something to plan
A friend giggles and gives her a nudge
She’s brought the whole room to silence
With not even a hush
She announces to the gentleman
She has got to rush
A couple of sighs
A few more cries
The lady exit’s the room
With not a word to say….

She enters the pitch black room
Waits till her eyes adjust
Questions the mouse sitting by the door
Asks it’s a question
And doesn’t speak no more
She walks to the corner and sits down to cry
Nothing can happen to her in the darkness of night

The harsh world outside has got nothing to say
No little objection to why she’s tortured everyday
The poor young lady, she only wants to die
The equivalent of another lie enters her mouth
She let’s go a little sigh
She doesn’t need to do this
She has herself a friend
She pulls out of her bag, a gun
She puts it to her head, and squeezes off a few
She lay’s in the room
Til’ someone comes, she’s found
Her nails all perfect, her great legs silky smooth
Everything intact
She takes another breathe
People do this every day
This comforts her in her own little way
But she is still not dead

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Well I was most riveted by this story and I found it to be a special one that I shall not forget soon. Even though, I have a bad memory. I'm going to take it as a favorite because there is something else here and I'm not sure what it is. So let me thank you for this. GW62
