Sacredness Falls Poem by robyn nathan

Sacredness Falls

I will weep as the scent of you fills the air
the thick dust of the earth that held your roots
scattered in the winds
the constant sound of roaring
oblivious to this passing
this desecration of sacred ground

clearing pathways
more devastation than the uncontrolled fires
arsons to the righteous prevailing self

we are all of us present
let us not forget
when you lay down your foundation
whose roots do you lay upon

lets remember when we weep loss
it is a state of loss we laid our foundations on

what is dominion if we don't understand the meaning of life......
