Shaking cold,
One more breath is all I have before my death.
Stabs of pain deep in my lungs,
Do I really have to die this young?
One last thought,
A glimpse of light; my body's tense,
Eyes closed tight.
Then all at once, beneath the ice,
My life was lost.
A sacrifice.
