Sad Laughter Poem by George Samuel

Sad Laughter

The light has gone off again!
Now you know death is vain.
It ease us of pain?
So he claims;
But who told you we can't manage?

Who told you we no message?
Even if it is just garri we drink _
Leave us alone, we would be fine,
Leave us alone, even though we fight,
We would make up in delight.

It is not strange for brothers to quarrel,
Or don't you and life quarrel?
Leave us alone, death go away,
You have quench many lights,
This one was our delight.

Now you take him away,
What did he do to pay,
This price, because he made us laugh,
We know you hate it when people laugh,
That is why you always visit at night,

And claim you're errand boy,
Old toy,
Can't you run errand by day?
You're a frowning barbaric sadist,
That never laughed, a hate addict,
Go away death,
You're not our friend!
We never want to see you again _
